More highway jobs! Yeah, just what we need. Patching potholes is the sure road out of any recession.

Halfway To Healthcare

By challenging the Republicans to a public-read, dog-and-pony show-debate on health care, Obama is placing a pretty safe bet.
He has two things going for him: 1) Promising someone something important and expensive like health care is more popular than not promising them something important and expensive like health care. And, 2) Republicans are often a bunch of bumbling idiots, unable to make a coherent case for a free market solution.

So, the best we can hope for?: Socialism Lite.

Scott Brown Is Right...And Wrong

Scott Brown asked that question and answered it correctly.

Who will ask him exactly what's "free" about Massachusetts's healthcare mandates?

Scott Brown? Enh.

Republicans are shouting to the rooftops and hanging from the chandelier in celebration of Scott Brown's victory in the special election in Massachusetts to replace the carcass of drunken buffoon Ted Kennedy.He died.

I would advise them to temper the unbridled joy.
Scott Brown is, after all, a "Massachusetts" Republican.

Even as we run up more and more debt.

How To Avoid Bankruptcy

Obama, attempting to scare the voting public and whip up support for his plan to socialize medicine, said the federal government will go bankrupt if health costs are not reined in.
Okay.
Then the federal government should stop paying for health care immediately.
Let the people pay for their own health care in a free market.

These things are not complicated.

Dumb or Dumber?

The more often Barack Obama opens his blow hole and bloviates on matters economic, the more conclusive it becomes that he is either (a) stupid, or...well (a) stupid.

Consider his following prescription:
We must "spend our way out of this recession."

"Spending your way out of a recession" is akin to eating more bacon in the hopes that it will cure for need for heart surgery.
It doesn't help your heart, but hey, at least your not having that nasty surgery!

Obama seems ignorant of the fact that a recession(when people curtail their spending) is not the problem(people have overspent), but the cure.

Eating more bacon won't unclog your arteries; it will only delay the day you finally have that surgery. And your condition will have worsened in the meantime.

Now, excuse me while I have a BLT.

Jumping To Conclusions

Barack Obama warns us against jumping to conclusions about the motive of the Fort Hood murderer.

Um, yeah, like he didn't jump to the conclusion that the cop was "stupid" for arresting one of his old communist buddies.

Whatever, Barack.

Remember, the stimulus was going to prevent that figure from going over 8%.

The rate of increase will not abate any time soon.

At least not until an end is put to all this wasteful government spending.

The Emperor Has No Coattails

Barack Obama campaigned for the Democrat candidates in Virginia and New Jersey.

Those candidates lost to their Republican opponents.

I'd be careful about hitching my wagon to the Obama star.

It gets a bit dimmer with each passing day.

Take That, GOP!

In case you missed it: the Republican Party supported-with money!-the liberal candidate; telling the conservative candidate to take a hike.

The conservative candidate did not take said hike.
He, instead, ran as a conservative.

When the liberal Republican saw her chances of winning dwindle to nothing, she withdrew and threw her support behind...the Democrat.

The Republican Party needs to get its head...on straight.

Doug Hoffman Is Not A Republican. Why?

The Republican Party has a problem.
Actually, they have had this problem for quite a while.
But it could not be better exemplified than in the congressional race in New York where the conservative is, well, a Conservative, and the liberal is...a Republican.

The Republican Party establishment has supported the liberal, leaving Mr Hoffman to twist in the wind, on his own.

Mr Hoffman stands a good chance of winning the contest.

The question begged: when will Republicans learn?

Conservatives must run as conservatives, not as some hybrid vote-chaser. See under: John McCain.

Republicans must either get as serious about their conservatism as Democrats are about their socialism or they will always be a minority party.
Newt Gingrich is wrong.
The Republican Party will either win or lose based on beliefs and principles, or they will cease to matter at all.

The opposite of socialism isn't compromise, it's rebellion.

Republicans had better get serious about the defending the free market.

Republicans had better get serious about what they profess to believe in.

Because something tells me there are other Doug Hoffmans out there.

GDP Number Is A False Positive.

The government announced that GDP grew by 3.5% in the 3rd quarter of 2009.
Yet unemployment continues to grow at the same time.
So, is the key to economic growth putting more and more people out of work?

Of course not.

Cash for Clunkers accounts for a portion of this increase, as does other government spending.

Think of it this way: imagine you produce a product and lose money every time you sell a unit of this product. So, to avoid going out of business you borrow more and more money and go deeper and deeper into debt. But your numbers look good as you produce more and more. Soon you will be able to borrow no more money. Nor will you be able to pay your benefactors. Everybody will be poorer for your futile effort.

This is the American economy today.
This is a false economy.
This is not the beginning of a recovery.
The worst is yet to come.

Stimulus Nonsense

The socialist White House and the media-the legitimate one, that is, not Fox News-are in a bit of a battle over how many "jobs" have been "saved or created" by the "stimulus."

Here's how it works: the media that guy being paid to dig a hole, then refill it equals 1 job, saved or created.
The socialist White House says, "Yeah, but the guy digging that hole had lunch at a local restaurant and saved the waitress's job.So that's two jobs!"

The actual number is close to 0.

Here's how it actually works: the government takes money from those who could create actual jobs, those that add something of value to society, and pays that guy to dig holes and then refill them.
Nothing of value has been created.

Think of it this way: if I took 3/4 of your income and paid 3 guys to dig up your front yard, have I really created any jobs at all?

In fact, I have probably destroyed an even greater of jobs, as you no longer have that money to spend and invest and actually grow the economy.

Stimulus Has Done Its Job

Chritina Romer, a "top economist" at the White House says the stimulus has "already had its biggest effect on the economy."

So its biggest effect was to drive unemployment up to 9.8%?

Health Care Reform Is Already A Failure

One really need look no further than the mandatory health insurance requirements of Massachusetts, where coverage is mandatory, to know what will happen when the same type legislation becomes federal law.
Massachusetts has the highest premiums of any state yet to secede from the union.

But, if one does require more evidence, then take as an example the current shortage of H1N1 flu vaccine.
How did this shortage occur?
The Department of Health and Human Services was responsible for this show in its entirety.
They set the price at $25 per.
They gave monopoly production rights to one company, Novartis.
They imposed other restrictions and regulations.

Missing from this formula? The Free Market.

Price was not allowed to fluctuate, and could therefore send no signal back to the producer.
Also, the controlled price meant that the only way to increase profit was to do the least efficient job without losing their government contract.
Competitors were not allowed to compete, so no shortage could be made up by a more efficient producer.

This is what will happen with all health care after it is socialized.

The Maoist And The Fox

To discover there are unabashed -indeed, proud!- Maosists in the White House, is not so much a revelation as it is a confirmation of just how radically left Barack Obama truly is.

However, to witness the all powerful declare war on a news network, Fox in this case, is to witness a dangerous period in America's history.

To deny that Fox is not Conservative in it's editorial bent -or to deny that MSNBC is equally as Liberal- is to be unserious.

However, this is irrelevant.

Unconditional freedom of the press -read the Constitution- is to be, not merely cherished, but protected at all costs in a free country.

To disagree with political bias is one thing. To attempt to try to quash dissenting voices is to engage in totalitarianism.

Executive Pay To Be Slashed!

The socialist White House of Barack Obama will soon announce that highly compensated executives will have to take massive pay cuts as they received billions of dollars from taxpayers to keep their bankrupt enterprises afloat.

Let's review: these companies should have been allowed to go out of business. And these pay cuts? Well, they're meaningless.

This is simply what happens when the government attempts to run the economy.

Obama's White House Communist Director, Anita Dunn, states freely that one of her favorite political philosophers is Mao Tse-Tung.

Let's review: Chairman Mao murdered upwards of 70 million people. But let's give him the benefit of the doubt and pare that number by half, just so her defenders don't start quibbling over the actual number.
